The 17th was founded in 2018 to serve as a representative of the original 17th Light Dragoon Regiment that served the British forces during the American War for Independence. Our goal is to provide an educational experience for every organization or event we come in contact with, as well as providing an outlet for equine enthusiasts to get in the saddle and relive an exciting time in our history.

  The 17th is a proud member of several different organizations dedicated to both history and furthering education on horses and horse culture. We offer anyone and everyone to come out an experience life as a British horse-soldier, whether you have a horse or not.

Our members are spread out all across the Midwest as far north as Wisconsin and as far south as Tennessee.
